Plumbing measurement types

Lineal. Measures a single pipe run or drain line as a straight or jointed line on the plan. The primary measurement type for pipe work. Price is per metre.

Multiple Pipe Runs. Measures several individual runs on the plan and sums them into one total length. Use this when you want each run recorded separately but priced as a combined total.

Curved Pipe Run. Measures a curved pipe route or bend on the plan. The app calculates the true arc length from the curve you draw.

Area. Measures a floor or wall zone in m2. Use for waterproofing membrane, drainage mat, or any component priced by area.

Volume. Measures in m3. Use for tanks, concrete surrounds, trench backfill, or any component priced by volume.

Count. A quantity of items: taps, valves, toilets, basins, hot water units, floor wastes. Each point you place on the plan counts as one unit.

Fixed. A single flat price regardless of quantity. Used for call-out fees, permit costs, or inspection fees.

Hours / Days. Labor charged by the hour or day. Set a rate and enter hours in the quote builder.

QuoteCore+ terms

Actual measurement. A real-world number entered directly - for example, a pipe run length measured on site. Waste still applies.

Component. A re-usable line you put in quotes. Has a name, measurement type, material price, labor price, and waste settings. See Components overview.

Customer quote. The version of the quote your customer sees. Built from the master quote summary in the customer quote editor.

Digital takeoff. Measuring directly off a digital floor plan or site drawing. See Digital takeoff.

Extra. A line you want priced and recorded but kept separate from the main components. Call-out fees, travel, permit costs. See Components vs Extras.

Manual quote. A quote built line-by-line for jobs where you already have your run lengths and counts. See Manual Quote.

Plan measurement. A measurement taken from a floor plan or drawing. See Plan vs Actual.

Quote builder. The flow that builds a quote: Areas, Components, Extras, Review. See Quote builder.

Takeoff. The act of measuring a job - either digital (from a plan) or manual (on site or from your own notes).

Billing terms

Cap. A numeric limit on something your plan allows - quotes per month, components total, storage bytes, etc. Hitting a cap blocks new additions but never deletes existing data. See Tier limits.

Dunning. The process Stripe (and we) follow when a renewal payment fails: automatic card retries, status escalation through past_due - grace - suspended, with chances to recover by updating the card. See Billing.

Effective plan. What your account can actually use today. Usually the same as your purchased plan, but collapses to Starter during grace periods or after the trial ends.

Grace period. A 10-day window after a payment failure where you keep read access but can't create new quotes. See Billing.

Trial. A 14-day free taste of every feature, with tiny caps. One per account, ever. See Free trial.
