Digital takeoff
Measure slab areas, kerb runs, expansion joints, and edge details directly from a site plan.
Digital takeoff
Upload any scaled site plan or slab drawing and measure directly on screen. Set a calibration reference on a known measurement and you can trace slab areas, kerb and edge runs, sawn cuts, expansion joints, and counted items without manual scaling.
All you need is a reliable scale or defined measurement on that plan that you know is correct. In digital takeoff, the first step is calibrating the measurement system using that scale. Tip: use the longest wall run, boundary line, or room dimension for calibration - these are usually the most reliable measurements on a plan.
What you can measure
- Line - a single straight kerb, edge strip, expansion joint, or sawn cut.
- Multi-Line - several kerb or edge runs added together when the same edge detail wraps around a slab.
- Curved Line - curved kerbs, radius edges, driveway curves.
- Point - individual dowels, joints, drainage points, set-out marks.
- Area - slab area in m² - rectangular, irregular, or multi-section. The app calculates volume by combining area with the slab thickness on the component.
All measurements are saved and auto-calculated to pre-populate the next phase in the quote builder.
What happens next
When you continue from digital takeoff into the quote builder, you will see each area you created, each component you measured, and its associated items. You can edit and adjust if needed, or continue quickly to the next step.
What gets saved
- Your initial floor plan or drawing.
- A digital takeoff version of the image showing your lines, measurements, areas, and items overlaid on the plan.
- A clean image without your uploaded image and only your digital takeoff lines / items, so you can clearly see what you measured.
These are useful for job records, client documentation, or to clearly define exactly what was quoted at a later point if you need to reference it.
